Tina (Evans) Fleming
Tina (Evans) Fleming A graduate member of the Tomahawk High School Class of 1987, extremely active outside the classroom participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball throughout all of her four years in high school.

Tina lettered in nine of her twelve sporting seasons. She lettered two years in volleyball, three in basketball, and four in softball.

In addition to being selected as co-captain in basketball and softball, she was a two time Most Valuable Athlete in both of these sports her junior and senior years.

Tina compiled some impressive season stats. In volleyball, she led the team with co-most offensive points and most service kills her senior year. Although in basketball, she led the team with most steals her junior year, it was softball where she excelled. Tina led the softball team with a batting average of .384 and 19 RBIs and was selected as Most Valuable Infielder. As a senior, her efforts resulted in a batting average of .475, and she was also selected as Most Valuable Offensive Player. Tina was a powerful hitter. In one game during her senior year, she hit three homeruns out of the park.

Post-season honors included being selected as All Conference Honorable Mention in volleyball her senior year. She had no chance at All Conference Honors in softball as it did not become an official conference sport until 1988.

So impressive were her athletic skills that she was selected as Outstanding Female Athlete her senior year.

Since graduation, Tina has been a bookkeeper for Hilgy’s in Tomahawk. Tina and her husband, Mike, continue to live in the Tomahawk area with their son, Mike, who is currently a senior at Tomahawk High School.
