Paula (Pintens) Flynn
Paula (Pintens) Flynn A graduate memeber of the Tomahawk High School Class of 1979, active in basketball, track, cross country and volleyball.

Paula earned nine letters (four in track, three in basketball, and two in cross country). She was a member of the 1978 state championship cross country team as an alternate. Paula earned All Conference Honorable Mention in basketball as a sophomore. She also was a member of the 1977-78 girls basketball team that was Lumberjack Conference Southern Division champions. All Conference honors included first team as a junior in the Lumberjack Conference Southern Division. She repeated this honor as a senior along with being selected All Conference for the Lumberjack Conference. She also earned Best All Around Player in 1979 to complete her basketball career.

While having success in volleyball, cross country, and basketball it was in track that Paula excelled. In her sophomore year she was First Team All Conference in the high jump and member of the 440 yard relay team placing second in conference. The 440 yard relay team completed their season at state placing seventh overall. Her junior year she repeated as conference champion in the high jump, was second team All Conference in the 110 yard low hurdles, and All Conference honorable mention in the 220 yard low hurdles. As a senior she was first team All Conference in the 110 yard low hurdles, member of the conference champion 440 yard relay team and was second team All Conference in the 220 yard low hurdles. She completed her high school career by placing 12th at state in the 110 yard low hurdles earning her the MVP title. Paula was a part of a girls track program that was 27-1 during the 1977-78-79 seasons.
