Tom Kahle
Tom Kahle A graduate member of the Tomahawk High School Class of 1975, earning 14 letters and 12 All Conference selections in five different sports.

Tom was honored as a guard in basketball, a defensive back and wide receiver in football, a shortstop in baseball, a pole vaulter in track and for his defensive work in hockey. He helped the baseball team to two conference, two regional, two sectional titles and two State Tournament appearances. In 1975, he also captured the conference batting title. In track, Tom competed in the high jump, long jump, low hurdles and the pole vault. During Tom's junior year he was the conference, regional and sectional champ and held the confer- ence and school record in the pole vault with a vault of 13'6". He placed sixth at the Class B State Tournament. In his senior year he again was the conference, regional and sectional champion in the pole vault. He set a school record with a vault of 13'9" in the State Tournament, placing second.

After graduation, Tom attended Anoka Ramsey Community College on a football scholarship. Due to an injury he switched to baseball and was the starting shortstop and held the stolen base record of 20 for 20 during his freshmen year.

Tom has a combined 23 years of service with MT&W Railroad and Packaging Corporation of America in Tomahawk. He has been a Tomahawk youth baseball coach for the past 20 years and a youth basketball coach for the past five years. He is presently serving as the Tomahawk High School assistant baseball coach.
