Jon Galloy
Jon Galloy Jon is a graduate member of the Tomahawk High School Class of 1986 active in cross country, football and track. Jon lettered seven times earning one letter in cross country, two in football and four in track. Though he played football his first three years and ran cross country as a senior, he excelled his four years in track. Track accomplishments included seven All-Conference honors, seven regional championships, four sectional championships and four state medals along with being selected as All-State his senior year by the Wisconsin High School Track Coaches Association.

As a freshmen Jon was named 2nd Team All-Conference in the 800m Relay and Honorable Mention All-Conference in the 200m dash. He was a member of a team regional title as regional champ in the 200m dash and a member of the 800m Relay team. Jon was part of the team that captured the sectional title that had existed since 1965.

As a sophomore Jon was named 2nd team All-Conference in the 800m Relay and Honorable Mention All-Conference in the 200m dash. He was a member of the 400m Relay Team that won a regional championship setting a new school record. The400m Relay Team finished as sectional champions and placed 6th at state.

As a junior Jon was named 1st team All-Conference in the 400m dash, regional champ in the 200m and 400m dashes, sectional champion in the 400m dash and second in the 200m dash setting a new school record in each and competed at state earning a 7th in the 200m dash and state runner-up in the 400m dash in 49.8 for another new school record. Jon was a member of the first Lumberjack Conference Dual Meet Championship in 20 years for Tomahawk High School and the third straight regional title for THS.

Senior honors were 1st team All-Conference in the 400m dash for a Lumberjack Conference Record of 49.4 and honorable mention in the 1600m relay. Regional championships came in the 400m dash and 1600m relay. He showed his dominance at sectionals with a championship in the 400m dash and 1600m relay for another new school record. State saw him once again come so close to a state title when he finished in second place in the 400m dash with a time of 48.8 seconds. Even though this was another school record he was defeated by 0.02 of a second in the state finals. His 4th state medal would come when the 1600m relay would place 3rd at state also setting a new school record. As a team Tomahawk finished in 6th place in team standings at the WIAA State Meet in Class B.

Jon is currently a GIS Specialist for Adams County, Wisconsin. He and spouse Laura are raising two fine children, Samuel and Adeline in the Stevens Point, Wisconsin area.
